This is our Shasta girl...affectionitly referred to as "Chewy" on occassion since she's been known to eat just about anything.

One day in November 1996, when Shasta was only 5 months old, I was at a fun match with our collie, Scout, and I decided to enter her just for fun. After doing so, I realized I had never even walked her on a leash, much less gotten her used to standing for an exam by the judge. Thankfully, showing is in her blood and she knew just what to do...

A few weeks later, just barely 6 months old, she went to her first AKC show and took Winners Bitch and Best Opposite Sex

Like the day she decided to defend us against the evil drip system.

(with me 8.5 months pregnant!)

We still venture out into the conformation occasionally.
In fact, our last trip out was QUITE successful...
