The Salwey family can be traced from ca. 1216 with Geoffrey de Salewey of Norton-under-Cannoc, Staffordshire, England down to the present day and includes links to the Plantagenet Kings of England. The
origin was probably saxon. The family was mainly seated in Shropshire/Herefordshire district near Ludlow and Richards Castle. This family pedigree is my attempt to build on the work done at the turn of the century to show the decendents of Geoffrey de Salewey, and to find the links to the Salwey decendents in England, Europe, the US and other countries.
Information on the Coat of Arms and the family Crest can be found here. Time permitting I will gradually expand the tree and I am grateful for all correspondence that will enable me to map the various holes in the
tree (especially the US and German origins). See also the page on the Salway vs. Salwey I hope this family pedigree is useful to other geneology researchers.
