"OUR MOTHER IS BORN"![](fairy-lt.gif)
This poem was written for my beloved Mother, HELEN FITE, for Mother's Day 1984 by me {of course}.Thank you God for choosing me to be her daughter.
" ON ANGEL'S WINGS"
God gave to you a child for only a fraction of time. God now calls this child home. He has sent the Angels to carry your Baby to where there is only Love & Peace. No sadness, No pain nor sorrow is in that world, only Joy.
There is NO pain greater than the pain of a Mother mourning the loss of her precious baby. The pain comes from the Soul, from the Heart, from your whole being. No comfort can you find. Oh, how I remember the pain.
But have faith, young Mother, and take comfort in knowing that GOD has a better plan. Your child is one of the very special children that GOD has personally chosen. Chosen to sit at His right Hand. Your child will never be alone. He will have GOD to guide him, the ANGELS to care for & watch over him & a second cousin named JOHN THOMAS to play with.
Your precious Baby sleeps in ANGEL'S WINGS, surrounded by the Loving Arms of GOD and will awake in a wonderful world.
Sleep now, Baby ROBERT, in the arms of GOD, for when you awake, your cousin JOHN THOMAS awaits to play in HEAVEN.
I wrote this for my niece TERESA FITE when her infant son past away. John Thomas was my son.. Perhaps it will be of comfort to all who reads it....
"IN MEMORY OF A GALLANT LAD"
Oh how people would stop and stare, to see this Lad with the golden hair,
When he passed by, many knew from which he came, and how he was winning his great name.
Where ever he went, jealousy was found,
But he cared not, for to the top he was bound.
Until Fate turned her terrible hand,
and took this "GALLANT LAD" from this land.
For Eternity we will ride,
This "GALLANT LAD" and I....
For on the TWENTY FORTH day of the EIGHT month he died,
A lot of tears were shed, a many a person cried..
When on that eve we laid him to rest,
All knew that through his short life he had done his best.
No matter where we went, A many a head turned to see this "GALLANT LAD",
Until that tragic day so sad.
FOREVER, he will live within my heart,
Although in life we had to part,
Some who read this poem of deepest Love, May think it's silly of course,
For you see.....
This "GALLANT LAD" was a HORSE...
"IN LOVING MEMORY OF TWISTER"
"HE GAVE SO MUCH, FOR SO LITTLE"
"HUMPY'S TWIST"
APRIL 13, 1973-AUGUST 24, 1978
I wrote this in 1978 when my beautiful palomino stallion was brutally killed.
Every where we showed he took first place.
"THE GIFTS"
My eyes behold the wonder of God's miracules hand,
All that he has bestowed upon this land,
He, and He alone creates these wonders and they are free to all.
These are the things that make life worth living, not the riches man has created.
All that is of material value can be taken away in flash, but what GOD has given can never be taken from us.
Judge not a man by what he HAS,but by what is within him.
The Happy man has not always material gains, but rather a Heart full of GOD & LOVE.....
THIS MAN IS TRULY RICH BEYOND COMPARE!

"MISSOURI IN THE SPRING"
The morning dew lies upon the ground, sparkling like diamond dust,
An early Spring morning is bursting out,
The trees unfold, almost magically, their buds into tiny leaves.
The country comes to life!
Everywhere you look a new life is coming to be,
I can not imagine being anywhere else.
The tall stately oaks, each one patiently awaiting it's turn to bring forth it's new crop of leaves.
Spring wildflowers pop into bloom, putting on a botanical show with their beautiful array of colors.
Animals come from their winter hiding places to enjoy the warmth of the spring sunshine.
Birds busy themselves building nests so to lay their eggs and bring forth a new generation.
There is no other place I'd rather be than.....

"MISSOURI'S FALL"
The beautiful colors of early fall are passing,
being replaced by the muted browns & greys.
The leaves have begun to fall to the ground, creating nature's carpet.
The singing birds of summer are now being replaced by an occasinal Snowbird foretelling of the winter that will soon be at hand.
The creatures in the woods are packing away their winters food supply & will soon began their long winters hibernation, warm & cozy in the nests.
The air holds a chill, warning us that winter will soon be at hand,
The smell of wood smoke fills the air from stoves & fireplaces already being lit. Families have readied their supply of winter wood,
In anticipation of next to come.....

How true is this.........
"WHAT IS A DOCTOR?"
Well let me tell you!!!!
He's the one you run to when you have a pain,
He tells you what the problem is and you tell him he's wrong,
He prescribes a medicine and you refuse to take it,
Then you run back to him & blame him 'cause you're not feeling any better,
He operates on you & you swear he took out the wrong thing.
BUT, through it all, you keep going back to him because he's the man in the white coat, PERFECT, INFALLIBLE & NOT SUBJECT TO ERRORS!
Well, my friend, remember, he IS but a man & like ALL men, IMPERFECT, FALLIBLE, & SUBJECT TO ERRORS!!!!!

Here's a little test to determine.....
"WHAT KIND OF PERSON ARE YOU?"
What would you do......
1. If you won the lottery for $1,000,000.00, would you....
a. Spend it all on yourself, buying everything you always wanted...
OR
b. Help others to help themselves...
2. If you know someone that didn't have a place to stay, would you...
a.Figure that was their problem not yours..
OR
b.Offer them your help...
3. If a little animal was wounded & left lying suffering by the roadside, would you.....
a. Leave it there and not worry about it..
OR
b. Carefully put it in your car & seek medical attention for it....
4. If a neighbor needed a hand building a barn, would you....
a. Figure why should you waste your time helping him....
OR
b. Cheerfully lend a hand...
5. If a family member, with several children, whom you haven't seen for a long time, calls & says they would like to come visit for the weekend, would you...
a. Make up an excuse that you will be busy & won't have the time for them to visit...
OR
b. Tell them to come on and you'll be glad to see them....
These are FIVE very simply questions, but they can tell you what kind of person you are.
****BELOW IS HOW YOU SCORED AS A HUMAN BEING****
** If you answered"B"to ALL the questions,**
YOU ARE A CARING, WARM PERSON AND WE NEED MORE LIKE YOU!
***On the other hand....***
**If you answered"A" to ALL the questions,**
" YOU'RE A NO GOOD LOW-LIFE, SO GET THE HECK OFF OF THE PLANET!!!"
*******NOBODY NEEDS YOU*******
