Located in the Pacific Northwest area of the United States, Girl Scouts - Columbia River Council, Inc. stretches from the Pacific Ocean between Tillamook, Oregon and Long Beach, Washington inland across both the Coast Mountain Range and the Cascade Mountain Range to include The Dalles in Oregon and Goldendale in Washington. Included in it's jurisdiction are the communities of Portland, Oregon and Vancouver, Washington, Mt. Hood, and the scenic Columbia River Gorge area. Named after the second largest river on the North American continent, Girl Scouts - Columbia River Council serves the girls in 13 counties of northwest Oregon and southwest Washington.
Girl Scouts are divided into 5 different levels:
New troops are formed each year from interested girls and adult volunteers. There are also existing troops that have openings from time to time as spaces become available. If you are interested in joining Girl Scouts please contact the Council Service Center listed below. Adults are always welcome to become Girl Scout Leaders. Training is provided. For more information about how you can help the girls of your community contact the Council Service Center.
