Hi, my AKC registered name is "Martaux Decateur Davelin", but to most I am just known as "Decateur". You can see a copy of my Pedigree HERE. I am a Standard Poodle , weighing 50 pounds and 25 1/2 inches tall. I was born on August 21, 1994 in Carencro, Louisiana. I was bred by Margaret Tauzin and lived with her and my mother until I was 8 weeks and 2 days old.

My Mother (Dam) is "Ch. Martaux Anisette".

"Anisette"was rated as one of the top-winning Standards in 1993. She is an exceptional combination of soundness, type and great presence in the Show Ring.

Her last show was in 1993 where she was BOV and went on to win Group 1st under respected Judge Carlos DeBango. Anisette is now at home in Louisiana with Margaret Tauzin. "Anisette's" mother (my grandmother) is "Ch. Wycliffe Hither and Yon" .

My Father (Sire) is "Ch. Martaux Cutting Edge". He is known to his loved ones as "Ditto". He lives with Melissa Carlin in New York. 

On Oct 23, 1994 Margaret took my litter mates and I for a long ride to the New Orleans International Airport in Kenner. This is where she shipped my littermates off to their new homes. Patricia met Margaret at the airport where we first saw each other. Patricia thought I was just so adorable and I have to say I thought she was special too. After my littermates were sent off to their new homes we all went to Patricia's husband's shop across the street where we all got to know each other a little better and since Patricia instanly fell in love with me, Frank (her husband) decided to buy me right then and there. I was an early Christmas Present for Patricia. She said I was the best present she recieved that year. Frank just couldn't get over how I pranced around. He said it looked like I was just gliding on air because I was so graceful. He didn't know much about Poodles then and hadn't really seen many Standard Poodles. Cortney was a bit jealous and wanted a Standard Poodle of her own. Which she eventually got but, not until the addition of January. January is my girlfriend.
