Footnote (p102)
1-Henry Robinson died testate in Stafford Co. in 1753. He married first Mary (surname unknown) who died march 26, 1748, and secondly on Aug. 1, 1750, Winifred Bailis who survived him. By his first wife he had two sons mentioned in his will, viz: Christopher Robinson who appears in the Register of Overwharton Parish and (2) Benjamin (17??-1785). The latter was married twice: first to Catherine (surname unknown) who died June 19, 1744 and secondly to Sarah Stacy on Jan 2, 1750. Benjamin Robinson died testate in Fauquier County, Virginian, in 1785, he left a large family.
Footnote (p112)
1-Henry Robinson, mentioned in footnote on page 102, by his last will and testament of 1753 mentioned James Spreybra, son of John Spreybra, James Spreybra (Sprayburry) was probably a grandson of the testator. The evidence is strong that Henry Robinson had more children than the two sons mentioned in his last will and testament which is of record at Stafford court.

History of Knox and Daviess County Indiana. (Chicago: Goodspeed, 1886.)
Reuben Robinson b. 1844 is the son of Elijah G. and Lucretia Sanford Robinson. His father was b. in KY and grandfather was Elijah Robinson, a native of Virginia who immigrated to KY in early life, and from there came to Indiana and located in Daviess Co.
- Excerpts from a Centenniel History of the Arthur Family, by Elijah A. Arthur. Crawfordsville, Indiana, 1937. Daviess County Historical Museum.
They were in Virginia for a time, then joined the stream of Western Emmigration that brought them to Kentucky, it is thought in Mason County near Mayslick. About the turn of the century, they joined a caravan consisting of several families who were bound for Old Post Vincennes, Indiana. Six of these families were: Arthur, Donaldson, Eskridge, McClellan, Robinson, and Wise. Most of these ultimately settled in southern Daviess County, Indiana. John C. Arthur the third son of James Arthur was born Jan. 26, 1801, and died July 5, 1842, and on Jan. 10, 1826 married Nancy Robinson.

EARLY FAUQUIER COUNTY MARRIAGE BONDS
An old English custom carried over to early Fauquier required that someone, usually the fathers post bond before a couple could marry. The amounts posted ran to $150 or $200. These earliest Fauquier marriage bonds, gleaned from County records, were published originally in various issues of the old Bulletin of the Fauquier Historical Society.
