Here's the facts...

1. God created you. He loves you. He wants you to know Him. But we can't get to know Him on our own. Here's why...

2. Our sin keeps us from having a personal relationship with God. What is sin? It is to turn away from the law of God and live by our own rules. Sin is also our attitude of rejecting God. Because God is holy, he cannot accept sin. We've all sinned (" for all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God..." Romans 3:23)

3. The result of sin is that it cuts us off from God - for eternity! ("For the wages of sin is death, but the free gift of God is eternal life in Christ Jesus our Lord." Romans 6:23) So what is the solution? If God loves me and wants me to have a relationship with Him but my sin keeps me from Him, what am I to do? I'll always be sinful!! Here's the great news...

4. Jesus is God. He is God's Son. Through Jesus Christ, you can have a personal relationship with God! You see, Jesus died to pay the penalty for all of our sins, so we might be forgiven. Then, He rose from the dead and lives forever showing that he is also able to give us eternal life.

5. What God asks you to do is to respond to His gift by trusting Christ. ("For by grace you have been saved through faith; and that not of yourselves, it is the gift of God; not as a result of works, that no one should boast.." Ephesians 2:8-9)

6. God has already been at work in your life. Would you like to respond to what He has done? If so, pray this prayer: "Dear God, I know that my sin has separated me from you. Thank you that Jesus Christ died in my place. Thank you that you even give me the power to say yes to you. I ask Jesus to forgive my sin and to come into my life. Please begin to direct my life. Thank you for giving me eternal life. In Jesus' name, Amen."

7. It's very important that you let your Christian family know about your response to God. A good Christian church can help you to grow in your new faith. They can help you when times are tough and give you opportunities to share your new faith.
