The store was sold later to another individual.

About the Pedigo line... They came from France in the early 1700's into Maryland. They then wondered into VA, TN, KY, IN, and other parts of the USA. I have started a discussion group on the Pedigo/Peregoy family line. 1. Joseph Peregoy (b abt 1665, France)
2. Henry Peregoy
Henry Peregoy, b. ca 1692, Baltimore Co., MD d. between Feb 11, and June 4, 1765 and left a will. He married Feb 16, 1716 to Amey Green and married a second time on Jan 14, 1745 to Providence Corbin, b. June 26, 1727. Henry and Amey had 8 children, and he and Providence had one child, Mary... there were two Mary's.
3. Edward "NED" Pedigo
Edward "Sir Ned" Pedigo b. Dec. 25, 1730, d. April 12 or 26, 1834 at the age of 103, near Annapolis, MD, buried 2 1/2 miles north of Pleasant Hills Chruch, near Randolph, KY. Barren County, KY. Was in Regt. Rev. War as Edward Pediford, Pvt. Married Hannah Elkin and she is sister to Mary Elkin the wife of Robert Pedigo, Sir. Robin. Edward and Hanna had 14 children.
4.Henry Pedigo
Henry Pedigo, b. 1765 in Halifax County VA, d Oct. 20, 1810 in Barren County, KY, and married Nov. 23, 1790 in Franklin Co. VA to Leah Cochran, B 1769. They had eight children.
5.Thomas Pedigo
Thomas b. 1796 in Franklin Co. VA d. Nov. 29, 1855 in Barren Co. KY, and married on Jan 23, 1820 in Barren Co. KY to Lydia Tanner, b. May 8, 1800 in VA., d. July 8, 1886 in Metcalfe Co. KY., buried in the Tanner Cemetery in Metcalfe Co. KY. They had eleven children.
6.Elza Tanner Pedigo
Elza b. 1829 in Barren Co. KY d. aft. 1910 in Boone Co. In and is burried in a small unmarked cemetery behind Racyway Park, in Clairmont, Hendricks Co, IN. by a little creek in the woods, and married on April 8, 1858 in Boone Co. IN to Parmelia Shirely b. 1825 in Boone Co. IN, They had five children. Elza married a second time to Artemesa Gill on Oct. 20, 1903 in Boone Co. IN
7.Elisha T. Pedigo
Elisha b. 1859 in Boone Co. IN d. Boone Co. IN. buried in Mt. Tabor Cemetery on St. Rd 267 in Fayette, Boone Co. IN. married on Sept. 17, 1881 in Boone Co. IN. to Mary Beaman. On this marriage certificate he is listed as Elisha B Pedigo/Pedito. They had three children. Elisha married a second time to George Ann Gill on May 15, 1889 in Boone Co. IN. They had five children. Elisha owned and operated a general grocery store in Fayette, Boone Co. In on St. Rd. 267. This general grocery store was handed down to Lee Otis, one of his sons from the marriage to George Ann Gill. Lee Otis Pedigo handed this store down to his wife Alma, and my husband's father, Richard Lee Pedigo I, bought it from her and later had to sell it, and go to work else where to support his family. The general grocery store is still standing as of Jan. 2002, but is now used as a garden center.
8.Lee Otis Pedigo
Lee b March 14, 1892 Boone Co. IN. d. May 19, 1949 Boone Co. IN. buried in the Brownsburg Cemetery, Brownsburg, Hendricks Co.IN. married on May 17, 1913 to Freda Odessa "Ferdie" Smith b. Dec. 13, 1897 who eight months later died on Jan. 27, 1914 during child birth to Talbert Leon Pedigo (b. Jan 27, 1914 d. March 19, 1914) all in Boone Co. IN. Lee then married Alma Nolan b. 1900 Ohio, d. July 12, 1979 Boone Co. IN. They had three children.
9.Richard Lee Pedigo I
Richard b. (Private). Married on (Private). to Catherine Marie Lanham b. (Private). They have three children. (as of Jan. 2002 both are still living)
10.Richard Lee Pedigo II
Richard is my husband and we have four children, and three grandson. We still live in Indiana.
