Group winning Ch. Ptarmigan Jollybodies Crash, WC ( "Herschel"). Hersch was shown less than 20 times in his entire lifetime, including when he began his career like any other dog in the classes just trying to win points, BUT in less than 20 shows, he was a multiple group placer, including winning a GROUP ONE. Do you think you own a dog who could win a group by showing in 20 shows including the shows when you are just showing in the classes trying to win points?

BISS Ch. Ptarmigan Gale At Riverwatch, WC, CD, CGC, ("Tempest")112 group placements and four times BISS! Tempest WAS the all-time top winning Curly in U.S. history until she was passed this year (2004). BUT she remains the all-time top owner-handled curly in history. In other words, it didn't take a pro handler to make Tempest's record!!!!!

BISS-Group Winner, multi-group placer Ch. Ptarmigan Walk The Wild Side ("Teddy")

BIS, multiple group placing Ch. Ptarmigan Groovin'. "Gilligan" went BIS, all-breeds at 21 months of age tand all of his wins as a special have come without any advertising. And his temperament is just 100 percent wonderful.

We are proud to have bred four group winners from four different breedings. We think it's kind of amusing that two of the four were LIVER males and the all time top winning Curly in the U.S. (Tempest) is a bitch. And, when Tempest won her fourth national specialty BIS as a ten-year-old at the 2001 national specialty, Gilligan was Best in Sweeps at the same specialty. I was happy with this demonstration of the consistency and continued progress of my breeding program.
