THE FISH PAGE

Vicky with a 44lb flathead she caught on a rod and reel while fishing at Coffeen Lake in central Illinois. Her and her dad were fishing one hot morning in the summer of 1995. This big guy fell for a live bluegill. She released the fish unharmed and received an award from the Illinois Department of Conservation for catch and release!!!!! Please practice catch and release.

And this is one I caught while fishing in a farm pond near our house in the late summer of 1997 using cut bait. It was also released and weighed 33 pounds.

This is another one I caught, same bait, pond and summer. It is actually the one Vicky caught and released in the pond! (we think)

And believe it or not! Nathan caught one the late summer of 1998. As you can see it was too big for him to hold for the picture! Nathan is the teenage son of one of our friends. If you ever find yorself wanting to go fishing, and no one to go with, you this young guy will have his gear ready before you can finish asking him! Nate has patience like no other young fisherman I know. He spent MANY hours that summer trying to catch one of these monsters and his patience finally paid off! GOOD JOB NATE!!
