The Wiley Swinney Bible is now in the possession of *Mrs. Prentiss Smith of Booneville, Mississippi. Record copied by Dr. Mary Floyd Sumners Rickard, Regent of Natchez Trace Chapter, DAR, June 1970.

Wiley Swinney was born April 3, 1791, and died March 23, 1858, at the age of sixty-seven.<---Jim's Great Great Grandfather

Mahala Calvary Swinney was born June the 9th, 1821, and died October 20, of 1861. (Note: Mahala Calvary was the second wife of Wiley Swinney.)

Thomas Swinney--born the 25th of May, 1838, and died May the 12th, 1871. Married M.M.C. Wooten on October the 26th, 1855.

Rebecca Swinney--born the 29th of April, 1840, and died July the 8th, 1865. Married James Simmons on September the 20th, 1854.

Nancy Ann Swinney--born on the 6th of August, 1841, and died on the 30th of December, 1854.

Sabra Jane Swinney--born on the 9th of July, 1842, and died on the 23rd, 1861.

Wiley Jo Swinney--born on the 18th of August, 1843, and died in August of 1864.

Henry Swinney--born the 4th of September, 1844, and died the 19th of July, 1845.

Edmund Swinney--born the 24th of July, 1846, and died the 4th of Feb., 1858.

William T. Swinney--born the 13th of February, 1848, and died the 16th of Nov., in the year 1879. Married Mary Lilly Mayes on December 19, 1869; she was born August 30, 1853; died Jan., 1947.

Mary Francis Swinney--born 25 Sept, 1851; died 28 Oct., 1853.

John B. Swinney--born Jan. 8, 1854; died Oct. 7, 1854.

James Swinney-born 29 January, 1821.

Burket Swinney-born 17 September, 1825; died 17 Feb., 1847.

Manerva Swinney-born 12 September, 1827. Married James Robertson on 19 March, 1844.<---Jim's Great Grandparents

Sophia Ann Swinney, born ____________ -- (Dates faded.) Married Moses Wright on ____________ -- (Dates faded.)
