The earliest member of the Drayton family we discovered thus far is my great-grandfather, Scipio. As far as we have been able to verify thus far, he was born c. 1845 on St. Helena's Island, South Carolina.
Scipio married Silvia Simons and together they had at least six children.
We would love to hear from anyone who might be researching similar names. My family and I would welcome any information you wish to offer.
