To the Dog Rescue Page

Unfortunately, not all dogs have a home. Sometimes people decide after a few years that their dog doesn't fit their lifestyle, they don't have time for it, or they're just not interested anymore. Often the dogs are brought to the pound, given away to unsuitable homes, or dumped. That is why there is a need for rescue organizations to help those poor homeless dogs find a place to live for the rest of their lives.

The Animal House participates in a foster home program for abandoned or surrendered laborador retrievers in Arizona named Desert Laborador Retriever Rescue, or DLRR. The mission of DLRR is to rescue laboradors that are homeless or in danger of being put to death. The organization rescues dogs in need and holds them in foster or boarding arrangements. Potential adopters are interviewed and visited to screen for suitable homes. If approved, the adoptors will save a dogs life and obtain a lifelong friend and companion. All rescue organzations are in need of volunteers, donations, or foster homes.

Zelda

Rescue Profile for October

Zelda is an older black female who has been with DLRR for a couple of months now.  She is a very sweet and playful girl.  She loves to go for walks and fetch the ball.  She carries her food dish in her mouth when she thinks you might get her something to eat.  She's good with other dogs and great with children, even little ones!  She's a little too interested in the parrots, so she would do best in a bird-free home.
