Noticed that you have Despain and Self in your genealogy. My husband is a Kentucky Self descended from John Smith Self of Edmonson Co. His grandmother was Lena Despain. She had a sister who went by "Doll". Any connection? Thanks, great website!!!

Dear Debbie,
I've been researching along the Shofner tree
for about 13 years seriously. No one has been able
to prove the relationship between "Old Henry"
Shofner and Charles H.{Hart) Shofner with proof.
I have 12 pretty good reasons why he should be.
What proof do you have? Charles Shofner is my link
to Henry. Let me know what you have.
Thanks BA
