Ursa

To Groom or Not to Groom?!
Read what others say, and even add your own comments!

Ursa is an Italian Spinoni (no, no NOT ice cream!). She came to us from New York when she was just 7 weeks old, and turned 8 in August. Here full name is Sundero's Ursa Del Adige. We named her Ursa because we didn't know any Italian words (except foods!) and Latin was as close as we could get. She's not named for the constellation, Ursa Major, but she did look like a little bear when she was a puppy.

Ursa's unusually helpful, and she wanted this page to be full of information about this very old Italian breed. They are close working pointers, ideal for the foot hunter. They are very affectionate and bond closely to their human companions. Ursa want's me to add that they're very smart, but she forgot to mention that they can be stubborn if they don't want to do something.

Why a spinone? Read what owners and prospective owners say to the question, "Why did you choose a spinone?" If you're considering the breed, it may help you decide.

This is Kali, Sundero's Kalidah of Echowin. She's out of Ursa's second litter, with EZ Marcay's Cefalu aka Gator, and she belongs to Ann and Mike Manion

Kali

This is Donetta, also owned by Ann and Mike Manion, sired by EZ Marcay's Cefalu, out of Caldocani Estera (Mona Lisa). Wasn't she cute??!

Donetta

This is Kali's sister Megan, Sundero's Auntie "M" of Oz TD

Megan

To see Gucci, Megan and Kali's littermate, and also a pedigree.
