General Forecast for 2000 (Andreja's Almanac):
- Winter: We will have a short winter with several days of
record-breaking cold. On the whole, though, it will be a mild winter with average
precipitation.
- Spring: Spring will come early with a burst of warmth, followed by a
brief cold spell and then averaging out to normal temps. We will have an unusually
heavy number of magnificent thunderstorms and heavy rains, with at least one bad flood.
- Summer: We will have an unseasonably cool summer this year, with
frequent periods of light rains. Towards the end of August we will have a very brief
heat wave, with one or two "record-breakers", then temperatures will even out
for the rest of the season.
- Fall: This will be a very long and dry fall. There will be a lot
of heavy wind toward October. Besides a few very light snow showers in November, the
first snow won't come until late December of early January. Temperatures won't begin
to fall until mid December.
