Perry Stone Revival
My church, the Pulaski Church of God, is having revival with Perry Stone Friday, May 7 - Sunday, May 9, 2004. This is the first time he has been to our church since 1981. He held a revival in 1981 that lasted for several weeks. Many people recieved healings and miracles in that revival. It was a strong revival that could've been a "Brownsville Revival" if it had continued. The Pastor at that time ended it before the Christmas season. I've heard a lot of people say it was a revival that was left "undone". We are believing God to finish what he started in 1981 and the move of the Spirit be restored to our church seven times. Please be in agreement with us for many people to get saved, healed and delivered in these meetings. Also, agree that God will release revival fires that will spread throught out the New River Valley (NRV), Virginia.
I have heard several prophecies over the last 10 years about Pulaski County and being a center for an end time, nationwide revival. I believe it is going to come to pass.
The first prophecy I heard was in 1995-1996 at my former church, Christian Growth Center, a word of faith church in Christiansburg, Virginia (in Montgomery County, county next to Pulaski County). The prophecy said that Pulaski was going to be the center of revival for the NRV and for the nation. The prophecy was given by Alex Wolfe, who was an usher at Pulaski COG during the 1981 Perry Stone revival. He is a close friend of Perry's and has assisted him at some local campmeetings. Alex is now an Associate Pastor for Valley Harvest Ministries, a Pentecostal Holiness church in Dublin, Virginia. Dublin is a town in Pulaski County, next to the town of Pulaski.
"The Building" Mission
I have a friend at church named Kathy Denny. She is in the process of starting a mission called "The Building", in downtown Pulaski. The ministry is going to reach out to the needy in the Town of Pulaski and Pulaski County. Once it gets up and running, it is going to have after-school programs, GED classes, help for drug/alcohol addicts, computer classes, free clothing bank for the needy, food bank ministry, volunteer mechanics to repair low income people's vehicles, job training programs, weekly Christian coffee shop, weekly youth services, and other outreaches. People that come for help are going to eventually be expected to help volunteer and give into the ministry. It is going to involve many churches and community service organiztions in our area.
Currently, Kathy is in the process of organizing the Board of Directors and getting the $150,000 for the building. The building is the old American Electric Power building next to the courthouse in downtown Pulaski. It is a building that is worth $500,000 but AEP accepted the lowest bid (Kathy's) because of the non-profit status. Praise God!
