Below is a map of Ukraine, showing the approximate location of the village, or shtetl, of Mena,
in old Russia from which the family emigrated in the late 19th Century. What is now Ukraine is located to the South of Poland and Russia,
in the former Soviet Union. Mena was located close to the town of Chernihiv, in the circled area
near the top of the map.
