My husband and I have been going to church, Christian Temple, Fresno, California for two years now. We're born-again C ristians and love to be active in the church. We recently went to a marriage encounter in Salinas, CA. After we left, I really felt that God wanted us to do something together in the church but didn't know what. My husband felt in his heart that maybe e should develop a couple's ministry in our church. Well God is good because when we shared this with our Pastor and his wife, my Pastor said he was praying that God would send him a couple to do this. Once a month we would like to get the couple's tog ther on our church and have an outing. We would like to have about 30 min. of prepared scripture/or education on strengthening, growing etc. in the marriage. If I may have your advice on how to do this, I would greatly appreciate it. I am in a relationship that I have never been in before; we have been together for going on four years. He turned 41 in October; I turned 41 in November. We both have been married before. We knew then and still know that it is wrong; but we decided to live together for awhile, since we had both been married before. We prayed to God that he would understand and that he would forgive us; but we wanted to make sure before we made that big com itment. He has been married 3 times (1st time-it was a mistake; it lasted less then a year. 2nd time, "2 children were conceived” marriage lasted 4 years-they ran around on each other. He knew then that it was wrong! (He did it because she did it.) He says, “You g and dumb” Before his next marriage he found and excepted Jesus Christ as his personal savior. 3rd time “he put her through nursing school” it was the longest marriage; it lasted almost 7 years. 2½ years, they lived separated and apart. A year into the m rriage she told him, “all she ever wanted was to be a nurse” The next year (after starting nursing school she told him that she knew when he married her, “that he loved her enough that he would do whatever he could to made her happy and that is why she ma ried him for nursing school!” She put her school/career before her children and him. He says, “that he can honestly say, “she was the only woman that he was married to that he gave 100% and that he truly loved her”. That was over 5 years ago. Every now and then people say things and later on your mind has time to digest it. About 4-5 months ago just in a during general casual conversation he said, “my Mother has always had a good insight into the women that I have been with, but I never took h r advice to heart. At times I have even gotten very upset with her and we have had an exchange of words. I look at all of the things that I put my heart through, if I had only listened to her my heart would not have gone through so much pain. He then said that I was the kindest, most compassionate, tender hearted, and giving women that he had ever been blessed with, “the best women that he had ever had.” I have not given much thought of that conversation since. The part about his Mother and her insight of he women of his past. Two weeks ago he informs me, (Keeping in mind the week before we had just gotten back from his parents house for a 4-day visit. During our visit his Mother would say little things like; “how she wished that we lived closer to them”, she can’t seem to get ome things fixed around the house”, “his Step-Dad was getting to old to fix things”, “How we could do more things together if we lived closer” little subtle hints like that all weekend long.) Then he tells me that God has spoken to him and told him that his is not the place for him to be and that he feels that he is to go back to his old church, the one he was going to before he married his last wife. Which just happens to be about 15 miles from his mother. I told him, “that if that is where God has told him that he must go then I will start looking for work today up there and that I would tell my boss that I will be leaving as soon as possible. He said that I didn’t understand God told him that he must go he mentioned nothing about me. Deep in my heart I feel that there was something that his mother said to him that made him change his tracking of his heart. Everything was fine with us up [till that visit with his parents. Could you PLEASE PRAY FOR HIM AND MYSELF. Ever since we have got en together he has said (we both feel it) that there is a strong presents of the Lord around us. (Other people have sensed something about us when they have met us and some have said something to us about it) And (we both feel) that there is another force that is doing it’s best to pull us apart. We have told each other many times that God must have something very special in store for us to have this presents so strong and for this other force to try to take us apart. We both have this inner feeling that the Lord our God is going to put us in a pl ce ministering to others we both feel it, something along that line. He has always said, “We must never let anything or anyone come between us”. Now this! I have asked him point blank, “Did his Mother said anything to him about me?” and it is the tone in is voice when he said, No! That leads me to believe that that is not a true statement. I wish for you to PRAY for his Parents, explicitly his Mother she has a greatest influence on him. PLEASE PRAY FOR THE TWO OF US, PLEASE. He is at this time up at his Parents home alone looking for employment. We were to go up their for Easter, but he said he must go alone. My heart is sad and very heavy at this time. If God needs us to go anywhere I am willing to go, no questions asked. I am just putting my heavy heart out to you whom ever you are and asking that you place this on your list of prayers needing to be sent up to Our God. Awaiting your reply. God Bless You, Joanna

I'm glad there is a Christian website that uses the KJV. I don't like those other watered-down versions. I don't think God does either.
