Michigan is not much of a ski capital, but for those with limited funds it proves to be worthwhile. There are many different types of places to ski in the state, depending on your interests and your wallet. By far the best the skiing to be found is at Boyne Highlands in the south, and Marquette Moutain in the U.P. Boyne Highlands, with several new runs, a high speed quad and plenty of room to ski, makes it hard to be easily bored, although you may find your wallet empty at the end of a long day. For some just plane fun and challenging skiing Marquette Mountain is another strong contender. It has plenty of snow and there is always a challenge to be found there. No matter what your interests, there is always a place right for you in Michigan.
