INFORMATIVE / EDUCATIONALKarl's Mortgage Calculator This is a very cool Java-based mortgage calculator. You plug in the amount of the mortgage and the term length and you'll see a graph showing how much of what you pay is interest vs how much is principal. Numerical values tell you how much your monthly payment will be and how much interest you will pay over the life of the loan. Take it a step further to see how much money you can save by prepaying additional principal, either each month or as a lump sum. Keep your eye on the graph to see how it changes in your favor.
