Montgomery County REACT is beginning another busy "EVENT" season. Below is a listing of the various community and charitable events that the Team is scheduled to provide communications for. Others are on the way or are still in the planning stages.
- March 24, 2000 (Friday evening)
Presentation about REACT to the Vienna Wireless Society (Amateur Radio Club).
Starting Time: 19:30 hours (7:30 pm)
Ending Time: approximately 21:30 hours (9:30 pm)
Location: Vienna Elementary School on Center Street a block from Maple Avenue (Route 123), the main drag of Vienna, and about 3 miles southwest of Tysons Corner.

Bethesda Chase Walk-A-Thon.
Starting Time: 09:00 hours
Ending Time: approximately 12:30 hours

Team News
During the cold and snowy Friday afternoon rush hour of February 16, 1996, a West bound AMTRAK train collided with a East bound MARC (Maryland Rail Commuter) train near the Silver Spring, Maryland AMTRAK station. This horrendous accident occurred at approximately 17:30 hours ( 5:30 pm) during the height of the snow storm.
