Milady Holly Berry, CGC (Holly);September 27, 1988 - January 27, 2001; Loved and owned by Will and Vicky Trainor
"Goodbye's are hard to say when you know you are losing something you love, but we must remember that the Lord has said "not one sparrow falls that I do not know about, and care for." The Lord was only letting us know that there comes a time to die for all, and He cares, not only for people, but all things. So Holly is "retrieving" with no restrictions. So let us take courage and remember the good memories that she left here on earth. She will be in our hearts forever until we again meet at the Bridge."

Chelsea's Heart of Gold, CGC, CDX, JH, WCX (Chelsea); March 1, 1989 - February 26, 2001; Loved, owned and trained by Will and Vicky Lane Trainor Holly and Chelsea were our first Labradors - they were the start. Without them, I nor Oakdale Retrievers would be what is today. Chelsea was Mommy's Baby Girl and Daddy's Chelser. Chels, I'll ALWAYS remember. As the song goes "One more day, one moretime. One more sunset, baby, I'd be satisfied. But then again, I know what it would do. Leave me wishing still for one more day with you." Please follow this link http://www.oakdaleretrievers.com/Remembrance.html to read a poem written by Will for Vicky the day after Chelsea was gone.

Springfield's Miss Pegotty (Peggy); September 23, 1988 - February 2, 2001; Linda and Jay Luvaas
"Dear, beautiful Peggy; always loved and cherished, never to be forgotten. You are well again now, Honey Bear, and waiting at the Bridge with your best friend, Molson. Thank you, old friend."

Wright's Dbl.Dutch Chocolate, CGC, WC, CD(Dutch); July 7, 1995 - February 3, 2001; Raymond and Sallie Wright
"Dutch was our first Canine Good Citizen (CGC), our first Working Certificate (WC), and our first Companion Dog (CD). He over came bilateral hip dysplasia --with a Triple Pelvic Osteotomy at 9 months --bilateral elbow dysplasia, bilateral cataracts, allergies to his vaccinations, a thyroid condition, skin allergies, a torn cruciate ligament, and a messed up hock in the last 5 1/2 years. It had become evident over the last week that while Dutch's spirit would always be willing, his body had just worn out. He took his last trip in Raymond's and my arms, and was laid to rest at our friend's, Bernadette Brown, farm early this morning. He is now with Denny, Andy, Wrip and Anji's 2 babies and is no longer in pain."

Captain Clarence Bailey (Bailey); December 18, 1993 - March 17, 2001; Lisa and George Zahra

Kerrybrook's Key To Birchill SH, WC, CGC; May 6, 1990 - June 7, 2001; Jody Thomas & Nick Michelson
"Mikey, aka the "Monkey," lost his 2 month battle with Fibrosarcoma. He was a true fighter to the end, always trying to make me smile. Even when it was obviously time, he was still trying to make me happy. Although Mikey never made it as a Master dog he did master being a couch potato in two days. He also learned that Kielbasa and Double Stuff Oreos and Potato Chips are among the finer things in life. I have had dogs for 30 years and he was the sweetest dog I have ever owned. There will never be another like him........he was Momma's Monkey. He has many friends waiting at the Bridge for him."

Crystal Waves Chantelle CD, CGC ("Chanty"); December 12, 1986 - June 9, 2001; Heidi Hurdy ("She was my best friend and constant companion")
Also loved and cared for by Shirley Trotter ("We miss her tremendously")
Chanty was the sweetest most loving companion. She had a zest for life. She was the only dog that we new of that loved (what you might call) recreational swimming. She would swim around and around forever if you would let her biting at the bubbles and occasionally barking happily. Chanty was a very smart girl. Heidi had taught her many "tricks" and she would perform them willingly anytime you asked her. .. even at 14½. She was quite a character! Can't wait to see her at the bridge!!!

February 16, 1987 - Sept 26, 2001; Sandy Briggs
(FT/AFTCh Corey of Mandalwood x Wimberway's Colgen Vista CDX WCI)
"Rip was a regular visiting Therapy dog, as well as a dog who loved to work (field, obedience, tracking, hunting, and even being my "demo" dog at seminars and in training classes), She will be missed by the many people whose lives she touched.. It was raining here all morning, then the sun came out and highlighted the maple and birch trees that are changing colour, so there was a real rainbow somewhere....."
