Hi! my name is Keith (you can call me Buddy) and Welcome to my Arowana site!

How I ended up with a green asian arowana:

First time I saw my arrowana, I knew I just had to have him/her(?).
It was the month of October 96', I was just browsing at a local petstore looking for some nice discus. I didnt really find anything that I liked so I browsed around the store looking around at marine tanks, other fish, accessories, the Works! I noticed in one section they had arowanas. The store was stocked with dragon fish. They had silvers, blacks, australians and even ASIANS. One fish caught my eye, It was a small Red-Tail arowana. Red-tail Golden
I knew that that Asian arowanas demand a very high price, especially red-tails. I never really saw Super-Reds out here, the closest one I saw were in pictures and posters. I stood there staring and *dRoOoOLing* at a red-tail swimming in its small 30 gallon tank for 20 minutes. The more I stared at it, the more I wanted it! Then I said to myself " there is No-Way I can afford this fish". I wanted this fish sOoOoO bad that I had a thought about stealing the fish! (hahaha). I thought about grabbing the fish, head towards the door, and run like hell. There is no way they can catch me! hahaha! hey, its just a thought!
4" Green ArowanaAnyway, I told myself, I gotta' have this fish! Suddenly I remembered, hey! Im in College!, hehe, I'm flat Broke! I knew there was no way I could afford a red-tail; however, I knew I could afford a green asian. Okay, here's the story folks, I settled for an asian green. Its not an "A" grade Super Red nor a Malaysian Gold, but hey, its an Asian Green Arowana. It sure did empty out my pockets and made my wallet a hell of a lot thinner, but I was happy!
When I got my lil' dragon, it was small and a bit scrawny. But, I knew it would grow up to be thick and chunky! My Green dragon is growing at a fast rate, I had to move him from a 40 gallon then to a 125 gallon; and now a 180 gallon tank. As of now, lil' dragon is no longer little. In my site, you will find pix of my arowana from a scrawny 3 inch to a whopping 11 inch; And still growing. By the way, I did end up with a red tail golden (and more broke as ever). You will also find various dragon fish pix that I have collected from other dragon fanatics (dragon room) and pix of my arowana's tank mates. I'll keep this page updated as much as I can so please do enjoy the pix of my "not so little anymore" Asian Green and Red-Tail Golden Arowanas. For those of you who are Arowana Fanatics, I would just like to say "HaPpY FiSh KeEpInG!"
