Home Photos: then and now

In August 2000 I closed on a condo after too many years to count of being a renter.

I've learned to clear a clogged toilet with a plumbing snake, put up mini-blinds, paint walls (and how not to paint ceilings), hang medicine cabinets, varnish folding doors, install chandeliers and thermostats, and all kinds of other handy skills. The Home Depot down the street is my home away from home.

Here it is, June 2007, and I thought it would be fun to show what the place looked like then, and now. I've done considerable redecorating in the living room, dining room, master bedroom and master bath, and I'm really pleased with the results. Most recently I did some revamping of the kitchen.

Hallway, Guest Bath

One side of the hallway has a few mementoes and some family photos... ... the other side has a photo montage of mostly old photos, plus the last family picture taken before my dad died (niece Jen's wedding, November 2003) The guest bath is also a full bath - no Jacuzzi, but comfortable and well equipped with everything a guest could want.
 

Office/Guest Room

    
 
This room serves as office and spare bedroom. The futon converts into a full size bed for overnight guests.

The view from the street. My garage is on the left. The door to my section is just behind the left side garages. The entryway to my unit. Normally you can see a walk leading to the door, but it was buried by snow the day I took these pics.
 
After condo was resided the summer of 2006 (note snowstorm aftermath in early March '07)
