The earliest documented SCHUPPs are Jacob Schupp and his wife Christina Margaretha Braun. Both are supposed to have come from Bucks county, Pennsylvania before 1767. Their 8th child, Daniel Schupp, was born 1 Sept 1789 near Elizabethtown (now Hagerstown), Washington County, Maryland. Jacob's father is thought to be Heinrich Schupp, b. abt 1715 in Bavaria, Germany. This has not yet been fully documented.
