This is my trucking page.
I started driving a truck in 1979.
I went to work for a company called Tri-State out of Joplin Missouri.
I drove cross country for 14 years.
I had always wanted to be a truck driver as my dad was one.
When I was little he would take me with him
and he would set me on his lap and let me guide the truck.
I felt so big and decided right then that's what I wanted
to do when I was grown up.
I ran as a team with my then husband,Gene for about 8 months
then due to a divorce I began driving by myself.
I delivered loads in 48 states as well as Canada.
I made many friends on the highway through the years
and they all know me by Coppertop.
There was more than one Coppertop on the road but
I was the one in the fastest truck
and I was always talking on the C.B.

I feel blessed that I got to see the country
and was paid to do it.
