Welcome to the Charles River Dog Training Club, a nonprofit organization in the greater Boston area, dedicated to training dogs of all breeds as companions and for obedience trial competition. Established in 1941, CRDTC is one of the oldest dog training clubs in Massachusetts. CRDTC holds AKC obedience trials and matches, and other events during the year.

Membership

CRDTC welcomes new members. Once you've completed a training course or have trained at the club on four different dates, you are eligible to apply for membership. You'll need two club members, or one member and one instructor, to sponsor your application.

The club's membership year starts October 1st. Annual dues for an individual are $30, for a family are $35, and for a Junior are $10. It's half the yearly rate if you join after April 1st.

The success of club activities depends on member participation. It's fun and a great way to get to know people. Members receive a discount on training fees, the newsletter with a calendar of events, and access to special classes. Active members earning titles during the year are acknowledged at the annual meeting and awards dinner. Members in good standing may borrow training books and videos from the club library and join an email list for club members.
