In our search for a particular individual from the mid 1800's, we have discovered that the county in which he lived did not maintain accurate records. So we now must hope to find someone else researching this same family line who may have some info that we don't have.
I decided that there are many others in the same situation and thought that if there could be a central location for information, that would be a big help and the possibility of finding info would be greatly increased.
I am starting up a mailing list for the LeFever surname and all variations of the spelling of the name. If you have LeFever's in your family history, please join to either find those "hard to find relatives", or to offer info to those who are searching.
This list is just starting on 11 May 1998, so there may not be much action until we can get some people to join the list. For those not familar with a "mail list", it is a great way to recieve info for a specific topic through e-mail. Info submitted to the list will be recieved by all members who are signed up on the list.
