Some of our current and ongoing projects
In the spring of 2001 we built a retaining wall around the back and south side of our farm stand. With added drainage we now have more display room in the fall for pumpkins. Here's some pictures while we were building the wall, we also added a rock garden, steps to the animal display, and a antique/ restored deep well pitcher pump.
Our future plans include a greenhouse for hanging baskets and bedding plants, a gift shop to concide with the different seasons and some fresh baked goods such as pies. We would like someday to find a windmill to restore and set up near our stand.
A few years back we had an old 2 cyl. "jonny popper" John Deere tractor that I restored, it was a great convesation piece and fun to just have around, we traded it towards a new tractor that was needed to continue to expand our farm. Well, we now have another one a 1952 John Deere model B We also have a 1952 Farmall super C that has been owned by the Palmer Family for over 30 years and that too will be getting a restoration job. We'll show pictures on this page of the progress.
I have a 1977 Harley Davidson Motorcycle that I purchased in 1979, it has set in the barn for the past 8 years or so this winter I have started a complete frame-up restoration.
