| As with the economic union, the Netherlands has combined with Belgium and Luxembourg to create a league in this three county region. This is considered the top league and only the best teams play here. The Netherlands originally had one league (NAFF) but a so called "rebel league" sprang up over differences how American Football should be played. The two leagues prefer not to associate with each other and have even gone so far as to ban play between the two.
