A TENTH SHALL RETURN
OPENING: I want to share this prophetic message with you tonight that God has revealed to me through his word. God started a work in this church six and one half months ago when he poured out His Holy Spirit in unpresedented porportions. I didn't understand everything then but God has been revealing to me what He is doing.
1. He has placed a calling on this Church to come out from among them.
(2 Cor 6:17 KJV) Wherefore come out from among them, and be ye separate, saith the Lord, and touch not the unclean thing; and I will receive you,
2. He has brought us to a door and we are standing at the threshold contemplating weather we are going to walk through the door or not. We are in the balance and all of you are in the valley of dicision, which way will you go. This door leads to a totally sold out life for Christ, not a life of games but a life of servent hood to Christ.
3. This is Gods last call to this church, and to the church of this world. It is time, the Lord is about to return, the church does not have any more time to waste.
4. We have to make a dicision church, its now or never, its Christ or this world, its Christ or your friends, its Christ or yourself, its Christ or your job, its Christ or your family.
5. Only the remnant will survive and be called Gods people.
(Joel 2:32 KJV) And it shall come to pass, that whosoever shall call on the name of the LORD shall be delivered: for in mount Zion and in Jerusalem shall be deliverance, as the LORD hath said, and in the remnant whom the LORD shall call.
(Isa 10:22 KJV) For though thy people Israel be as the sand of the sea, yet a remnant of them shall return: the consumption decreed shall overflow with righteousness.
A. God has spoken to my heart in this day to share this word with you, he has brought these scriptures tonight to call your hearts to repentance, and also to drive the hard hearted farther from Him. This must come to pass according to Gods word. The question is will you harden your hearts or will you repent and follow him. God has always kept John 6 in my heart and now I know why.
(John 6:53 KJV) Then Jesus said unto them, Verily, verily, I say unto you, Except ye eat the flesh of the Son of man, and drink his blood, ye have no life in you.
(John 6:54 KJV) Whoso eateth my flesh, and drinketh my blood, hath eternal life; and I will raise him up at the last day.
(John 6:55 KJV) For my flesh is meat indeed, and my blood is drink indeed.
(John 6:56 KJV) He that eateth my flesh, and drinketh my blood, dwelleth in me, and I in him.
(John 6:57 KJV) As the living Father hath sent me, and I live by the Father: so he that eateth me, even he shall live by me.
(John 6:59 KJV) These things said he in the synagogue, as he taught in Capernaum.
(John 6:60 KJV) Many therefore of his disciples, when they had heard this, said, This is an hard saying; who can hear it?
(John 6:61 KJV) When Jesus knew in himself that his disciples murmured at it, he said unto them, Doth this offend you?
(John 6:62 KJV) What and if ye shall see the Son of man ascend up where he was before?
(John 6:63 KJV) It is the spirit that quickeneth; the flesh profiteth nothing: the words that I speak unto you, they are spirit, and they are life.
(John 6:64 KJV) But there are some of you that believe not. For Jesus knew from the beginning who they were that believed not, and who should betray him.
(John 6:65 KJV) And he said, Therefore said I unto you, that no man can come unto me, except it were given unto him of my Father.
(John 6:66 KJV) From that time many of his disciples went back, and walked no more with him.
(John 6:67 KJV) Then said Jesus unto the twelve, Will ye also go away?
B. Isa 6 deals with this time that we are living in. God had revealed to him the down fall of man, the lostness of man in the end times lets look tonight and let God speak to our hearts.
I. God is Holy and lifted up.
(Isa 6:1 KJV) In the year that king Uzziah died I saw also the Lord sitting upon a throne, high and lifted up, and his train filled the temple.
(Isa 6:2 KJV) Above it stood the seraphims: each one had six wings; with twain he covered his face, and with twain he covered his feet, and with twain he did fly.
(Isa 6:3 KJV) And one cried unto another, and said, Holy, holy, holy, is the LORD of hosts: the whole earth is full of his glory.
(Isa 6:4 KJV) And the posts of the door moved at the voice of him that cried, and the house was filled with smoke.
A. We need to realize that God is all powerful, all Holy, all mighty, and all glory.
a. If you actually came into the presence of God what do you think you would do?
1. Lift your hands and praise Him to the top of your lungs.
2. Put him on your shoulders and parade him down the streets.
3. Run up to him and rap your arms around Him.
b. None of these, you would fall flat on your face and worship Him because of His glory and Holiness, you would feel totally unworthy just as Isa 6 said, His power moves everything in its path.
c. Do you really realize the God that you serve? if so then
(Psa 24:7 KJV) Lift up your heads, O ye gates; and be ye lift up, ye everlasting doors; and the King of glory shall[3] come in.
(Psa 24:8 KJV) Who is this King of glory? The LORD strong and mighty, the LORD mighty in battle.
(Psa 24:9 KJV) Lift up your heads, O ye gates; even lift them up, ye everlasting doors; and the King of glory shall come in.
(Rev 4:8 KJV) And the four beasts had each of them six wings about him; and they were full of eyes within: and they rest not day and night, saying, Holy, holy, holy, Lord God Almighty, which was, and is, and is to come.
(Rev 4:9 KJV) And when those beasts give glory and honour and thanks to him that sat on the throne, who liveth for ever and ever,
(Rev 4:10 KJV) The four and twenty elders fall down before him that sat on the throne, and worship him that liveth for ever and ever, and cast their crowns before the throne, saying,
(Rev 4:11 KJV) Thou art worthy, O Lord, to receive glory and honour and power: for thou hast created all things, and for thy pleasure they are and were created.
B. You see the church needs a new vision of God High and Lifted UP.
a. We have brought God down to the size we want him to be. We don't want to put Him on that throne High and Lifted up and make Him God over our lives.
b. We have made God what we want Him to be. To accept us as we are and to accept the things we want to do.
c. We have made God a wallet size so we can put Him in our back pockets and when we need Him we can pull Him out and use Him for our own desires. Or when we want to impress someone that we know God we pull Him out like one of our childrens pictures and show Him off.
d. But we don't want to put Him on His throne, because then we have to realize that He is God, the creator of this world, the almighty God and we would then have to fear Him as God.
II. God is calling us to repentance and Holy living.
A. If we are going to realize that he is God then we have to do something about it, REPENT.
(Isa 6:5 KJV) Then said I, Woe is me! for I am undone; because I am a man of unclean lips, and I dwell in the midst of a people of unclean lips: for mine eyes have seen the King, the LORD of hosts.
(Isa 6:6 KJV) Then flew one of the seraphims unto me, having a live coal in his hand, which he had taken with the tongs from off the altar:
(Isa 6:7 KJV) And he laid it upon my mouth, and said, Lo, this hath touched thy lips; and thine iniquity is taken away, and thy sin purged.
a. We have to get close enough to God to allow the fire from the alters of God to purge us of our sins.
b. Truth of the matter is thats why we keep our distance from God, because we don't really want to give up our sin.
c. We think we can serve God in our sin, in our unfaithfullness, in our lukewarmness, in our self-indulgence, we don't want to get to close.
d. But God demands that we are purged from our sins, and that we exalt Him above all things, and make Him Lord of our lives.
e. God is looking in fact for people that will submit themselves to the coals of the altar. Willing to get burned for Christ, willing to die to self, you see that is the REMNANT.
III. God is calling for disciples to take the uncomprimised word to an adultrous generation. This word will turn some to repentance, but many it will drive away from God, because there hearts are hardend.
(Isa 6:8 KJV) Also I heard the voice of the Lord, saying, Whom shall I send, and who will go for us? Then said I, Here am I; send me.
(Isa 6:9 KJV) And he said, Go, and tell this people, Hear ye indeed, but understand not; and see ye indeed, but perceive not.
(Isa 6:10 KJV) Make the heart of this people fat, and make their ears heavy, and shut their eyes; lest they see with their eyes, and hear with their ears, and understand with their heart, and convert, and be healed.
(Isa 6:11 KJV) Then said I, Lord, how long? And he answered, Until the cities be wasted without inhabitant, and the houses without man, and the land be utterly desolate,
IV. There will be a great falling away
(Isa 6:12 KJV) And the LORD have removed men far away, and there be a great forsaking in the midst of the land.
V. The remnant will be saved to bring fourth holiness unto the Living God.
(Isa 6:13 KJV) But yet in it shall be a tenth, and it shall return, and shall be eaten: as a teil tree, and as an oak, whose substance is in them, when they cast their leaves: so the holy seed shall be the substance thereof.
(Isa 65:8 KJV) Thus saith the LORD, As the new wine is found in the cluster, and one saith, Destroy it not; for a blessing is in it: so will I do for my servants' sakes, that I may not destroy them all.
(Isa 65:9 KJV) And I will[1] bring forth a seed out of Jacob, and out of Judah an inheritor of my mountains: and mine elect[2] shall inherit it, and my servants shall dwell there.
(John 15:1 KJV) I am the true[1] vine[2], and my Father is the husbandman[3].
(John 15:2 KJV) Every branch[1] in me that beareth not fruit he taketh away: and[2] every branch that beareth fruit, he purgeth it, that it may[3] bring forth more fruit.
(John 15:3 KJV) Now ye are clean through the word which I have spoken unto you.
