A TRIBUTE TO JOE

Joe

I'd like to dedicate this page to Joe Vitz. He is my girlfriend, Dawn's husband. They both were good friends of mine, except Joe passed away on October 7, 1997 at a very young age of 49.

He was a gentle man, with very much love for his family and his Labradors. He was the type of guy that really held family values high on his list. He loved his wife, Dawn, very much. He always called her "Babe." We always had a good time together from back yard partys to just hanging out by the camper and having a bon fire. He loved to tease me because I was from New Jersey and he drove a tractor trailer there a couple of times a week. He was a hard working family man and never asked for much in life except to provide for his family. The grandkids always called him "Pop Pop." He really got a kick out of them. I never remember Joe as ever being sick, except for an occasional cold like everybody else. He enjoyed playing with the computer too. He had a special place in him for the time he spent in the Navy on The USS HOLDER. It was a part of his history that he was very proud of.

I know myself, I miss him alot. Everytime I walk into Dawn and Joe's house I always remember his cologne. It seems strange to go over and not see him on the couch or in the kitchen hanging out watching mash.

Well I guess I could go on and on forever on how Joe Vitz has touched so many lives, so I will close for now with this:

"Joe, my friend, I will always remember you for who you were and never forget you. You were a great and fun friend to be around. I know your wife, Dawn, is really hurting without you, and alot of us are. You will never be forgotten, and will always have a special part of our hearts."

Your friend, Dale
