March 1991 - My first treatment of chemothery. When you first find out you have cancer,fear and depression set in to name a few.You don't know to what direction to turn. Life as you knew it before has now changed.Some think about dying,some Don't know what they will do. You go into the why me's,why didn't it happen to the guy down the street,or you just want to hide from everyone around you. You try and go back to the times before you got cancer,but it all comes back to you.Your life has changed. Will I die? Will I lose my family, my friends because I now have cancer? Questions run through your mind, but those questions are never asked.You don't know how or to whom to ask. Expanded information |

September 1991-My first Radiation Treatment. Now is the time when you set your sights on living. Cancer is not the end. Cancer is only the beging. You start with your attitude. Your attitude is 65 to 75% of your cure. You can have the best Doctors and the best treatment,but if you don't have the will to live.You will die. |

November 1991-A show of support. Support from your family or friends are very important.If you don't have that support,seak out other cancer patients.Their are alot of us out their who are either just starting out like you, or are well into our treatments who are looking for the same support. |

January 1999-Bone Marrow Transplant. After several recurrencesess of my cancer and 7 more series of chemo, and after all other options ran out. On January 22nd 1999 I was admitted to Henery Ford Hospital for a bone marrow transplant. The next 35 days would be very long for me. With this bone marrow transplant, I was hopping I could finaly put 8 years of fighting cancer behind me. Expanded information. |

Friend with lots of support. No one is trying to tell you that having cancer or going through the rough treatments are easy. Find us, We are out there. Don't try and do it on your own. Their are alot of us who would be willing to help you. Look for support groups in your area. look for chat rooms where people around the country shear the same feeling as you. Or E-Mail me.
