THE TITANIC DOES GO ON

A Dream of a lifetime who could want more
Everyone aboard the Titanic was so proud to be aboard
Waving their goodbyes to those they left behind on shore
Jack won his ticket for this trip he could not afford
In order to go to America, in cards he would score
It was love at first site, and soon it was Rose he adored
The sea from the bow was beauty he hadn't seen before
Eventually Rose came to Jack on the bow of the ship
It was there Jack knew Rose had opened her hearts door
There on that bow of Titanic they shared their first kiss
Not knowing what was in store for them on this trip
All their hopes and dreams they would never explore
Full speed ahead Titanic hit an iceberg it could not miss
As Jack pleaded with Rose that she could go on to shore
Go on living even if they may not be together as they wish
As Jack died at sea that night,some in boats tried to ignore
The crying of those not in boats who were in the icy sea
A few survived and were taken ashore
We know that Rose and Jack were created for us to see
How it could have been had it been a real couple in love
All the suffering of the families aboard Titanic came to be
One of the saddest unnecessary disasters of our history
My heart aches for those lost on the ship below or above
The unsinkable Titanic now lies at the bottom of the sea.....
