Gatehouse to an estate at Loughgall

Dunluce Castle

We headed across to the coast below Belfast after visiting the linen mills at Lisburn. I was disappointed the linen couldn't be purchased off the roll and plain tablecloths were VERY expensive. I had hoped to buy one for Mum to embroider for Alyssa's (our 2 year old grand daughter), trousseau as she had done for our girls. I had to compromise with a set of doilies.

By that time exhaustion had completely set in for me (Beth) and I begged for a day of complete rest tomorrow.

We then drove southeast, lunching at Clough before moving on to the Dundalk Tourist office. We wanted to find a B&B on the coast but the book we've been using had too few listings in this area. We moved down the coast road, finally finding a place in a small coastal town called Blackrock, just below Dundalk right on the water's edge.

The ads. for Blackrock House say luxurious accommodation. Well we wouldn't exactly say luxurious but very comfortable and great hosts. What we really enjoyed was the big verandah looking (and sitting) over the bay.

We had 4 more rolls of film processed with some good results. Tomorrow is a REST DAY.
