WICHERN's
One of three family's (relationship unknown) that migrated to the Perry County Missouri area from Germany

1) 1876 was Friedrich Wichern b. 1812 germany, wife's name Engel Volkmer b. germany. They had three children Engel Wichern b. 1842, who married Heinrich Bellman b. 1839, both born in Germany and migrated here in 1868 was the first to immigrate to the US. They had 10 children, six children were living in 1910, living in the Altenburg, Mo. area. Maria (Mary) b. 1851 germany, who married Johann Stueve b. 1837 germany, on 26 June 1879 Concordia Lutheran Church, Frohna, Mo.. The third daughter Anna b. 1856 germany, on 1 Nov. 1877 Trinity Lutheran Church, Altenburg, Mo. married Johann Heinz (Heins) b. 1842 germany d. about 1892 Perry county, Missouri. Anna remarried to Adolph Frederich Richter b. 1832 germany d. 1910 Altenburg, Mo., on 13 Feb. 1893 Immanuel Luth. Church, Altenburg, Mo.

2) Christian (Christoph) and Anna Elizabeth nee (Stueve) Wichern migrated to Perry County area about 1881. They were married in Abenseeth, Hanover, Germany. Christian purchased 50 acres on Janurary 31 1883 from Samuel Leaper for $30.00. Thier children names were Dietrich b. 1874 Heinrich (Henry) C. b. 1878, Maria Adelheid b. 1884 , Anna Christine b. 1886.


3) The children of Claus Nicolar and Catherina nee Mueller Wichern of Himmilsforten, Hanover, Germany.

Claus b. 1848 Germany living in Germany, Daniel b. 1854 Germany living in Perry County Misouri, USA; Margarethe b. 1856 Germany living in Germany, Heinrich (Henry) b. 1859 Germany living in Perry County Missouri, USA.; Cathrine (Katie) b. 1860 Germany living in St. Louis, Missouri, USA. Adelheit b. 1863 Germany living in New York City, New York, USA; Cord Charles (Chas) b. 1864 Germany living in Greenville, Washington County, Mississippi. Doris nee Wichern Velten b. 1873 Estorf, Germany living in New York City, New York, USA.


Daniel and Henry settled in the Perry County, Missouri area. Adelheit arrived in New York City working as a servent, Katherine WICHERN married Henry MURJAHN and lived in the St. Louis, Mo.area raising their children there.
Daniel raised his family at Starland, Mo., running a little Mercantile Store along the Mississippi River. Henry raised his family near 76, Mo. farming and his wife was running the 76 motel at the time of Henry's death.
