To Area Businesses and Organizations:

The Dodge County Trails Association had another busy and productive year in 1999. We are proud to say that the Sunrise Trail (between Kasson & Mantorville) is now complete and many bikers, joggers, walkers etc. are now using the trail on a regular basis. Our goal for the Sunrise Trail in the upcoming year is to make general improvements along the trail by adding benches, picnic tables, and doing general landscaping etc. We are seeking your involvement in this effort by either donating money or time. We will be recognizing all $250, $350, and $500 donors with a plaque placed on the various benches, tables, and landscaped areas along the trails.

Our efforts for the year 2000 are focused on developing the first phase of what is called the Stagecoach Trail. The vision for the Stagecoach trail is to connect the towns of Owatonna, Mantorville, Kasson, Byron and Rochester, and also, to connect to Oxbow County Park, Rice Lake State Park and the Douglas Trail. We will be designing a trail route, acquiring land, and applying for various funding grants.

We are looking for your financial support in our ongoing efforts. By making a donation of time or money to the Trails Association, you can share in creating a trail system that will bring increased recreational opportunities, tourism, and revenues to our communities and to your businesses. Please support trails and make a donation today.

Tax deductible donations can be sent to: Dodge County Trails Association

PO Box 421

Mantorville, MN 55955

Please also indicate if your business or your civic group would be interested in adopting a portion of the trail (similar to the "adopt a highway program").
