Here is a letter from William Henry Cyrus, while at Sandy Hook Maryland. He is asking for a transfer to a unit further from southern positions. He fears for his life having once already being captured since he had deserted the Southern Army and joined up with the north. This is as it is copied from the copy of the original. |
