I lost my mom in 1996. At the funeral we had a photo album of pics of wonderful memories. Next to it was this wonderful letter that reminded us how special my Mom was to us and how much we would miss her. I never thought to share this when I started this web page but it means alot to me to share my loss and to show how special she was to us. I hope this touches you as much as it has continued to touch me. I think my brother-in-law for his sensitivity in writing such a wonderful letter. I made a x-stitch piece of this and have tried to duplicate it as much as is possible in this medium. Hope you like it.

Dearest Family and Friends,

Don't cry over my grave, for I won't be there. You'll

find me as the aroma of salt-rising bread or maple

creme fills the air. I'll be in the sounds of

grandchildren's laughter or the squeak of a rocking

chair.

I'll be with you at the Thanksgiving table and at your

special Christmas gatherings. I'll be helping you

cook the Sunday feast and washing pots and

pans piled high in the air.

Mother's Day, September 24, October 15, July 2, and

many other special dates we'll share. In your sorrow

and tears, I will not be found: for I'll be with you

always, all the year 'round.

                                           Love always,

                                           Winifred, Mom, Grandma
