Lillimae and the Dixie Gospel-Aires Quartet have been together for more than 30 years! After 10 years of retirement, I persuaded them to get back into the studio. I am extremely pleased with the outcome. It's an honor to play with Lillimae and The Dixie Gospel-Aires Quartet. I would like to thank the following for their timeless influence: The Osborne Bros., Charlie Waller, Bill Monroe, Flatt and Scruggs, John Duffey and the Stanley's. I hope you hear some of their styles in this recording. I am fortunate to live in the era of these performers!
In closing, I thank God for my family and my wonderful parents (Lillimae and Charlie) and most of all our savior, Lord Jesus Christ. I hope this is a blessing to all!
