Minutes for the December 11th Meeting

The meeting was called to order at 7:15 and was conducted during the taco rolling at YFD Sta. 2

Members present: Angela Jaynes, Pam Green, Cheri Allen, Julie Ott, Lucy Padilla, Manuela Ozuna, Gale Fisher, Lynn Light, Debbie Tutell…. New members: Tami Smith, Valerie Bird, Linda Reyes

Dues were paid

OLD BUSINESS

Reimbursements: Cheri Allen issued checks to Lynn Light and C.J. Padilla for secretarial supply receipts submitted and approved in Sept./Oct.

Thanksgiving Family: A pre-prepared meal was delivered to our family of six on Thanksgiving Day. Homemade goodies, formula, and milk were also given to the family

Community Events: Anyone interested in bell ringing during the holidays is encouraged to contact Cheri Allen for additional info. The Safe House and YMCA projects have been tabled till next year. It was felt YFDLA would be better prepared to offer our services after the holidays.

Christmas Family: We agreed to sponsor a family of seven for the Christmas Holidays and some donations were received from Julie Ott at the meeting. The family consists of the grandmother, Jennie Ochoa and her grandchildren…

Adopted Senior: It was agreed YFDLA would purchase some large print Christian books not to exceed $20.00 as a Christmas gift to be presented to our adopted senior during the holidays

Fund-Raisers: The fundraiser at Round Table pizza Parlor has been tabled until the beginning of next year.
A representative from the Bullfrogs has been invited to our January meeting. There will be a brief, 15- minute presentation about this fundraiser.

Bikes from YPD: The four bikes received from YPD are available at YFD Station #1 and need to be picked up for repairs. Volunteers to do the work were Gale Fisher (Gary), Pam Green (Hank), C.J. Padilla (Daniel), and the YFD Union.
