AL's Place, Page 2

Hello, thanks for coming to the next page.

Here you will see photos of various members of
the Howeth family, mainly those in my branch of it.

Pertaining to myself, I am married, have sired 3 children,
1 girl, 2 boys. I currently live in Coos Bay, Oregon,
own my home, and am near several lakes and rivers. I take my boat
whenever I can, and go fishing. Bass and trout fishing
is very good here. If you would like to check it out,
go to my 'Fishing Place', from the bottom of page 1, and see what fun we have.

I've included photos of some of our friends there. My wife
loves to sew, knit, crochet, and quilt, among other crafts
and things, so if any of you would like to see some of her
works, go to our House Hold, or her quilt page.

This is my Great-Great-Grandfather, Harvey H. Howeth.
It is reported in some of the Texas history books,
that he, and one or two, perhaps more, of his brothers,
served in the CFA of that time. Some sources say
that he served on both, CFA first, and then the Union at the end.

This is my Great-Grandfather, Harvey H. Howeth, Jr.
This photo was taken on his wedding day in 1880, to
Paris Electra Dutton. Granpa, as I've always heard him called,
is reported to have been the best rifle shot in the
state of Texas, in his active years as a cowboy,
and one of the best of the old-time bronc busters,
as they were called. He died in 1934, the year before
I was born.

My grandfather, William Harley Howeth, Prefered to be a
traveling salesman, or a "Tinker", as most people used to
call them. Died just before WW2 started, but left behind a
beautiful kitchen knife he made for my mother,
and that I now have.

My father, in his late twenty's, or early thirties.
Helped to build the Del Mar fair grounds and race track
in So. Calif., and the old military training base
called Camp Del Mar. A veteran of WW2, he served
in the U.S. Navy from 1942, on board the troop carrier,
Uss Barrow, which went down just outside Pearl Harbor,
in 1946, receiving an honorable discharge at the end of the war.
He was an auto mechanic for the most of his life,
becoming a 'master' mechanic.

At this time, only my brother and I remain, not
counting those aunts and cousins to be listed later.

This is my brother, Alford Quenton, and his son,Allen James, with the beard.

From 4:15 am, April 4, 1964, to a lovely young woman, and the
mother of 5 children. My Daughter, Rena Maria, named
for her grandmother, and mother.

My son, B. A., Junior, called Bud, (June 14, 1965) and
grandson, B. A., III., (Sept. 8, 1989) whom I call Trey.

My youngest son, Vance Edmond (Feb. 12, 1967)

An old photo of Cleburn, Cecil, and Dovie. The first three of
the children born to Harley and Ida Belle Howeth.>br>

Granville W. Howeth, one of the 4 boys. (My Uncle)

My other 3 aunts, besides Aunt Dovie.....Aunt Mozelle, Aunt Lucille,

and Aunt Wilma, whose actual name is Willie Mae. Mozelle died
several years ago in Rhode Island, leaving only Dovie, Lucille,
and Wilma. My uncles Raymond, Cleburn, and Granville, are gone now, also.
Mozelle had at least 3 husbands, and children by each. I only know the
3 oldest. The others, I'm not sure of.
Wilma has had several husbands, also, and a number of children,
but I don't know any of their name, nor do I have any photos of them.

For more info and photos of other members of the Howeth Family,
please go to my other place from the front page, or
from any of the other pages. I will be updating from
time to time.
Thank you for visiting.
