Poetic Inspirations...

You'll always have Keith in your heart...

Keith was a man who had a dream,
and life was idyllic or so it did seem.
But somewhere along the track oh his life,
there was a bump, a little of strife.

Keith must have taken it and forged right ahead,
for a fork in the road took Keith and it led,
straight to the gates of Heaven above,
but it was without a push and a shove.

But now Keith looks down on his family with love,
for he is an angel and so filled with love.
So fear not dear family you did your part,
and you will always have Keith in your heart.

This Memorial Day...

Do not bring flowers to my grave
and weep
I did not die
I do not sleep

Lament not at my passing
with tears upon my stone
I do not lay beneath the sod
and you are not alone

Bouquets of flowers will not bring me back
my voice cannot be heard
look for me upon the wind
in the song of a singing bird

I now reside within your heart
you must live my life for me
your head, your heart, your hands
have now become my legacy

Allow my heart to beat
in concert with your own
and continue to plant the seeds
of my life that should be sown

You substantiate my life
by the way that you live yours
my physical life has ended
but it opened a special door

The doorway to my soul
is wide open with no hasp or lock
I am there when you need me
when your heart needs to talk.

Energy never dies
your combined energies created me
now I live within you
no pain, no tears, I'm free

Make me proud Mom and Dad
and still share my life with all
although I did not want to go
I responded to my call.

It was time for me to go
for God has a bigger plan
the same for every one of us
every child, every woman, every man.

Grieve not with anger,
hopelessness and doubt
but grieve your pain openly
you have to let it out.

Let out the rage of injustice
of guilt, pain and fear
and plan your new tomorrow's
knowing I'm always near.

Do not bring flowers to my grave
bring sunshine to my heart
and together hearts beating as one
we make a brand new start.

If You Came Back From Heaven

If you came back from heaven, I wouldn't know what to say, I wouldn't know what to do, If you came back from Heaven, and I could look at you...

If you came back from heaven, Would I fumble for the words? Would it be like it was back then? Could we pick up where we left off?

If you came back from heaven, And I could look at you. It would freeze me in my tracks, And I hope God knows, If he let you go, I'd never send you back.

If you came back from heaven, And I could look at you, Would I fumble for the words, Or would I laugh right out loud?

Will you whisper softly, Mom, I love you, Did you miss me like I miss you? Have you heard all my prayers at night?

If you came back from Heaven And I could look at you It would freeze me in my tracks, I hope God knows if he let you go, I'd never send you back.

dove Dear Mom...

Do not stand at my grave and weep,
I am not there, I do not sleep.
I am a thousand winds that blow,
I am the softly falling snow,
I am the gentle showeres of rain,
I am the ripening fields of grain.
      I am the morning hush,
I am in the morning rush,
      Of beautiful birds incircling flight.
I am the starshine of the night.
I am in the flowers that bloom,
I am in a quiet room.
I am in the birds that sing,
I am in each lovely thing.
Do not stand at my grave and cry,
I am not there---I do not die.

dove My Angel Forever

I had a beautiful little boy.
His eyes shined like gold.
He knew how to make me smile.
His love continue to unfold.

He was such a healthy happy child.
Then one day, he got sick.
It wasn't supposed to be this way.
But it happened so quick.

At first the doctors didn't know.
But it all became so clear.
Cancer would soon take over
and take the son we hold dear.

His life became full of hospitals.
Where they ran test after test.
Oh Lord if only they could find an answer,
we could have handled the rest.

He was so precious to us.
He never once lost sight.
He didn't want us to be in pain.
Oh Lord, this wasn't right.

He fought the battle so bravely.
As only he could do.
As his pain grew steadily worse,
He saw what we were going through.

When the angels came to get him,
His eyes closed in death.
He became our guardian angel.
To guard us until our final breath.

Oh Yes, He will always be with us.
I feel his kiss upon my face.
At night I cry and wonder why
It wasn't me in his place.

Yes, I had a beautiful little boy.
Now he's an angel with wings of gold.
He still knows how to make me smile.
And his love continues to unfold.

So as each day comes to an end
Be sure to never overlook a glance.
Or a time to say "I love you."
For you may never get another chance.

doveOur Prince of Love

When our prince made his entrance,
we thought life was complete.
He brought sunshine with him.
And a smile to those he'd meet.

Oh he was an active little boy.
Although he was the little one.
So much love in his heart & soul.
He was a prince as well as a son.

His royalty could easily be seen
in the hearts of his friends.
Never once did he lose sight.
His love was with us to the end.

He showed us his royalty
as his time drew near.
Even though his pain grew worse,
He refused to show a tear.

The love of his life was with him.
She was always at his side.
Even though it wasn't easy,
Her love for him would not be denied.

Through it all, he never gave up.
We tried to keep his morale high.
But as it turned out, it was he
that helped us understand why.

And now, as this is written,
he is in Heaven above.
He will always be our Prince.
A prince with a heart full of love.
