Don't Be Picky | |||||||||||||||||||
Instead of adopting a new puppy why not adopt a dog that desperately needs a new home? The ages of the dogs we rescue range from very young to old. Everybody thinks they want a puppy. Remember that little chore called housebreaking? Most of the older Bassets are already housebroken or need just a little bit of work. Or consider adopting a Basset cross.

If you don't want the expense of another dog become a foster parent. All veterinarian expenses are paid for by donations. Fostering is a great way to have the company of an extra dog or two without the added expense. Of course you have to supply the basic necessities--attention, food, love, water, shelter and a big couch.

The costs can be hundreds of dollars for Bassets that have heartworm or have been injured.Please help ensure that Basset Hounds are rescued by donating your time and (or) money!
