Evita news update !

• The Evita soundtrack is a salessucces everywhere it is released. The soundtrack went to #2 in USA, Italy and Germany and #1 in Englang,Austria,France and Greece. For more information concerning the chartpositions of any Evitarelated release you should check out Jos Rietdijk's Chart Update.
• The third single release from Evita will be 'Another Suitcase In Another Hall'
• Madonna was on Oprah December 13 19967, she talked about Evita, Lourdes, Antonio Banderas and Dennis Rodman.
• 'Don't Cry for Me Argentina' has been released on a mxisingle in the USA containing 6 mixes of the song.After only 1 day of sales it managed to enter the Billboard Singles Chart at #17 due to top 5 airplay!.
• On December 10, Alan Parker's book, The Making of Evita, will be available for consumption. There is a forward by Madonna.
• The world premiere of Evita took place at LA's Shrine Auditorium on December 14. The stars were in attendance. Angie Hung attended this premiere. • The Evita Soundtrack is now available! It is a 2-disk collection. We have heard it, and it sounds magnificent. Madonna's voice reaches new levels with the tracks.
• A 1.30 minutes-long trailer was premiered on Wednesday 31 via satellite. From now on the trailer will be shown in theatres across the country to promote "Evita" which will premiere in LA and NY on the 25th of December and it will be released nationwide on the 10th of January.
• MTV (America) premiered their new Madonna special recently. It is called: "A New Madonna: The Making of Evita", and showed exclusive footage of the upcoming movie. The special will soon be shown on MTV Europe, Asia, etc. ASAP we will post details of day and time.
• Filming of "Evita" finished on Saturday 25th of May. On June 14th the editing of the movie began.
• A 10-minute trailer was shown at the Cannes Film Festival. It was the hottest ticket in town. The trailer got rave reviews and Madonna was praised for her vocal and acting talent in the trailer. The trailer was also shown in LA and got rave reviews.
• Andrew Lloyd Webber and Tim Rice have written a new song for the movie. The song entitled "You must Love Me" is about the complicated relationship between Eva and Juan Peron. According to Madonna, "You Must Love Me" is a real "tearjerker" and will be released as a single in the near future!
• "Another Suitcase In Another Hall" will be sung by Madonna in Evita. This is the first time that the song will be sung by Eva Peron and not by Juan Peron's 16-year old mistress.
