All about me...

The first step into the workings of my mind...

My name is Bethany and I currently attend the University of Maryland, majoring in Business. Being a business major is also known as the "I want to take over the world" major. I have lots of outlandish opinions about the world, but I believe I can solve all of the worlds problems if my advice is followed. For example, I believe that the only qualified candidate for this 2000 Presidential Election is Eminem. Nobody else has found the balls to address all of the problems of today's youth so bluntly as him. Ok, maybe not president, but one should at least open their ears to the wisdom of Marshall Mathers. And I don't want to hear any crap about how he's just a stupid white boy with baggy pants and a bad mouth. Maybe you should actually listen to the lyrics of his music with an open mind if you have such an opinion. Otherwise, if you agree with me, welcome to the world of intelligence. Congratulations!

Education

As I said, I attend the University of Maryland at College Park. This university, if you don't already know, is incredibly huge with a wide variety of culture and activity, located near Washington, D.C. and Baltimore. The Robert H. Smith School of Business is one of the best business schools in the country. My only complaint about this institution is the number of people who flock like sheep around campus, not knowing their ass from their elbow, hardly caring about their future, but have more concern about expanding their collection of capri pants and haltar tops. Baaaaahhh!!! SHEEP! SHEEP, I TELL YOU!! But they're everywhere, you cannot escape them, only baaahh like a sheep as they pass you and watch the reaction on their faces as they wonder what the hell you're on.

Throughout 1999 I had an internship at the Enterprise Newspaper. This is a Southern Maryland newspaper based in St. Mary's County. I worked in the editorial department, which means I did everything from secretarial work to photography to reporting and writing my own stories to page-layout, so I feel rather confident in my abilities to relay the truth, the whole truth, and nothing but the truth. Ok, I'm lying. Sometimes the truth is wrong because it conflicts with my beliefs and yes, I do have a superiority complex and yes, I do think I am god..
While attending school, I work at the University Book Center in the General Books department. Mommy and Daddy don't send me a $500 check every two weeks like some people, I proudly work for my income to pay bills and such. For those of you who haven't heard of this term "work", I strongly urge you to look into it. It builds character.

Religion

I began studying Wicca when I was merely ten years old. It started out with Tarot cards and astrology and went from there. After seven years of that, I decided it wasn't for me and began studying other belief systems such as Christianity, Judaism, Qabbalism, and Buddhism. However, there is something missing from every religion I've studied. I can't connect with SOME aspect of any particular religion. So right now, after much thinking and deep introspection, I've decided that I can call myself a Bethanyist. That's right folks.. welcome to the world of Bethanyism. It's complicated and simple at the same time, and although I don't have all the answers, it feels right. I'm currently trying to work out some details about proving our existence mathematically. Everything from why men and women come together to the make-up of our DNA. It's all mathematics, I've convinced. I'm very big into trusting intuition and following your heart... and this is what works for me. My best friend Jade has the same dilemma, and she is now a follower of Jade-ism. I've got the rest of my life to figure out the answers to those things I have no clue about right now... like How far does space go? What came before time? Are there other dimensions? I hope to have all of my ideas written down and published by the year 2010. Look out!

Well, I think all of you have learned a bit more than you need to know about me. So, that's all for now. If you'd like to get in touch with me, e-mail me at aradia-web@ameritel.net. See ya later!
