YFriday? I don't know, what I do know is that they're great. I went to see them at re.vive and have to admit I didn't have very great expectations. Those expectations were completely blown away when I spent the whole gig jumping. It got to the point where my legs could hardly move any more. Fantastic! The best thing about the gig was that they were so obviously about God, even though they were trying to get into the mainstream and releasing singles, they haven't compromised anything. They had the words up on a screen, so it was almost like just continuing worship from the main meeting. There songs were all full of excellent lyrics, to God and about God. It was amazing.

Sadly this is another band that suffers from the problem that seems to afflict most christian bands. They are no where near as good on CD as they are live. I could put this partially down to atmosphere, but it's not just that, they aren't as intense or something on CD, even if you turn it up really loud you just don't get quite the same sound. However, I'm not saying the CD is bad. It's still a very good CD, you can still jump to it, the songs still have fantastic lyrics (well obviously they're unlikely to change). It's just that you don't get the same situation as at a gig. Still a great CD.
