KRISTI'S BIO: Kristi Yamaguchi began skating when she was six years old. She was born pigeontoed & with a clubbed foot, so her mother wanted her to do anything that required her to use her feet. So Kristi took to skating. Her daily routine was getting up at 4 am & was on the ice at 5am. She practiced a couple of hours, then went to school. After school, she went back on the ice for a couple more hours. Then after years of practice, she entered competition. Soon, she paired up with Rhudy Galindo, whom she dated for a short time. They skated together for several years, then split up. It was then that Kristi's true talent began to shine. She won numerous competitions, including US champion, World champion, & the Olympic Gold medal in 1992. Currently, Kristi is skating as a professional. She's now on tour with Stars On Ice.
