Harold Ramis
Harold Ramis is best known for his role in Ghostbusters 1 and 2 as Dr. Egon Spengler. He is a nerd, no doubt, but a pretty cool nerd! He knows his stuff, so don't question him. Once worked as a professor at the Institute For Advanced Theoretical Research where, he conducted tests to determine whether human emotions actually affect the physcial environment and an affection test. He is a Doctor of Physics who graduated from M.I.T and believes print is dead. According to himself, he is always serious His hobbies include collecting spores, molds and fungus. He wanted samples of the library ghost slime, Slimer's slime, and of Louis Tully's brain tissue. He analyzed pyschokentic activity to arise in New York by a simple twinkie 35 feet long weighing approx. 600 lbs. That's a big Twinkie! It was his idea to cross the streams, which would reverse the partical flow, and put an end to Gozer.

"We'll take care of everything...."

"whoa, Whoa, WHOA!!"

"Whoa! Nice Shootin' Tex!!"

Yeah, that's how I wanna go out....killed by a 100ft marshmellow man.

In Ghostbusters 2 Spengler ran a cursory medical examination on Oscar Barrett, to see if he was the cause of the baby buggy incident. Egon only did the exam once before, on a chimp. He asked Peter to get a stool specimen from Oscar Barrett, which Peter delegated the chore to Dana Barrett. When Spengler was a kid, he had part of a Slinky, but he straightened it. He used the Giga-Meter on the intersection of East 77th St. & 1st Ave, and the reading was 2.5 GEVs. He then jackhammered the hole in the same intersection with Peter and Ray. Along with Ray, he tested the pink slime by putting it in a microwave, in a toaster, yelled at it, nurtured it, and slept with it. It responds to human emotional states. Kewl! Mood Slime! He went into the sewer and subway systems with Ray and Winston to look for the river of slime. Unfortunatly it pulled in Winston so he and Ray took a swim in the river of slime to recover Winston. Spengler, along with the rest of the Ghostbusters was committed to Parkview Psychiatric Hospital. Luckily the mayor of NY had a spiritual conversation with a dead guy of 40 years and decided to release the Ghostbusters to save the city once more.

Spengler hears a train coming in the abandoned shaft.

Harold's newest project has been rumored to be an all new Ghostbusters 3 which may be released as soon as Summer 2000. Harold has been working with Dan Aykroyd on the project, just like they did with GB 1 and 2. The rumored storyline has been that the origional Ghostbusters retire for good, but they take the time to train new team of spirit fighters for the next generation. Bobby Brown did the song for GB 2 and it isn't remembered very well. Will Smith will probably do the theme song. Do you think he will make the song legendary like Ray Parker Jr?
